What's up? Guess who's back? Yep, yep, good ol' me. This week's blog entry is short, since I'm only writing to say bye for three weeks (yeah, three weeks!). I'm going away on a personal trip to... well, I won't disclose the destination right now, it's a surprise and I'll let you know about it once I'm back. By the way, the last time I went away for that long was exactly one year ago, when I visited my home town to showcase my artwork for the first time, at a local fair. After that, I stopped blogging for... five months! This time it won't be like that, I'll be blogging and posting updates as soon as I'm back.
Now, the reason why I'm mentioning this trip, aside of announcing my three week hiatus, is the fact that this trip is closely related to my artwork. No, my artwork is not the reason why I'll be traveling. However, curiously enough, this trip will give me the opportunity to reinforce an aspect of my artwork that has been with me since the start of my career. Sounds dramatic? Well, maybe I tend to write in dramatic sentences, but I can assure you this journey will be a very productive one. :) As I mentioned, this trip is not work related, but entirely a personal one. I am excited to go, as I'll be visiting places that I've never visited before. Something I can say about myself for sure, is the fact that I love traveling. I wish I could do it way more often, but c'e la vie (note: that was a hint). So, what's next... after my trip? The projects are still going strong, with a couple of pending commissions, while at the same time setting up the merchandise that will go on sale. Also, promoting my work on my social media, which is mainly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, not to mention my blogging, with a written entry (like this one), and a weekly sketch. I still have a lot of work to do regarding my Pinterest and also my mailing list, but I'm getting there, little by little. On top of that, I'm always promoting my Patreon; last month was awesome, gathering several new patrons (thank you so much!). In case you didn't know, Patreon allows me to spare some time for personal projects, personal ideas, which have been consistently the soul of my artwork. Those fore mentioned personal projects are a direct expression of what's inside my head (I know: scary, uh?). And that's it for now, I'll be back in... three weeks! Well, not really, I'll be back in a couple of days to post the weekly sketch, but after that I'll be gone. Last but not least, I'm posting two old drawings of mine along with this blog entry, as a small hint of how this trip relates to my artwork. The images date back to 2007, ten years ago, and all I can say is: it's about time! :) Thanks again for reading this, and for all your support... oh, and don't forget to leave your comment, I love reading them. See you next time! ~Pops.
